Real-Life Experience & Professional Placement

As part of this qualification, students are required to complete a minimum of 80 hours of professional placement/work placement in a community services environment.

This practical experience allows students to apply their learning in real workplace settings while gaining valuable hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced industry professionals. Students will develop workplace confidence, strengthen their communication and interpersonal skills, and gain insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of community services workers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Community Support Worker – Supports individuals to improve their wellbeing, independence, and access to community services through person-centred care and assistance.

  • Residential Support Worker – Provides daily support and care to individuals living in residential or out-of-home care settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

  • Youth Support Worker – Assists young people with personal, social, and emotional challenges while encouraging positive development and wellbeing.

  • Disability Support Worker – Supports individuals living with disability to achieve greater independence, participate in the community, and meet their daily living goals.

  • Family Support Assistant – Works with families to provide guidance, practical support, and access to services that promote family wellbeing and stability.

  • Community Care Worker – Provides care and support to individuals within the community, assisting with daily activities and promoting quality of life.

  • Welfare Support Assistant – Assists individuals experiencing personal or social difficulties by connecting them with appropriate support services and resources.

  • Neighbourhood Centre Worker – Supports community programs and activities that encourage community engagement, inclusion, and social support.

  • Case Support Assistant – Assists case workers and support teams with client support, administration, referrals, and coordination of services.

Mode of Delivery

All theory components for each Unit of Competency are completed online through our reputable and easy-to-navigate learning platform, allowing students to study flexibly at their own pace while accessing all required learning materials, resources, and assessments in one place.

To support student learning and engagement, weekly online classes are available to all students, providing opportunities to connect with trainers, ask questions, and receive guidance throughout their studies. These sessions help reinforce key learning outcomes and ensure students feel supported at every stage of their course.

In addition to online learning, each unit includes mandatory practical components that must be completed through face-to-face workshops. These practical sessions are designed to develop hands-on skills, simulate real workplace scenarios, and ensure students are competent and confident in applying their knowledge in a real-world community services environment.

Tuition Fee & Payment Plan

Our current payment plan option allows students to complete their course with manageable weekly repayments across the full duration of their studies.

The total course fee is $5,200.00, with flexible repayments available from $50.00 per week. This payment plan option remains available for the entire duration of your course, helping you study while managing your finances comfortably.
