Overview
This qualification introduces you to the skills required in a variety of Business Services job roles including, using business technology, word processing, customer service, creating electronic presentations, organising schedules and working effectively with others. You may wish to undertake a general business qualification or a specialisation in customer engagement or business administration.
The course has been developed against nationally recognised competency standards and industry needs. This course is suited to those seeking practical business skills for a variety of office support roles.
BSB30120 - Certificate III in Business supersedes both BSB30415 - Certificate III in Business Administration and BSB30115 - Certificate III in Business.

This course is delivered via online tutorials, interactive online classrooms, and individual trainer correspondence.
Course Duration
For students with prior experience in a business environment, as a general guide, with 12 hours of coursework per week the course may be completed in 10 weeks.
Students who do not have any experience may take longer.

Workshop
Learn face-to-face with your trainer in a workshop environment. Our five-day workshop blocks are held at locations across Queensland. Attend on then complete your assessments online, or attend multiple at no additional cost.
Course Duration
For students with prior experience in a business environment, as a general guide, with one full-time workshop block and 16 hours of subsequent coursework per week, the course may be complete in six weeks.
Students who do not have any experience may take longer.

Units
FULL FEE
$1814
No upfront payment required. Each unit/unit cluster is invoiced at its commencement. Invoices are due upon complete of the unit/unit cluster.
Payment extensions may be granted if you have difficulty paying by the due date.

Certificate 3 Guarantee funding is available for this course to eligible students.
For students eligible for Certificate 3 Guarantee funding, the student co-contribution fee is payable at the commencement of your course.
Eligible students will pay only a $20 student co-contribution fee ($10 for concessional students)
To achieve this qualification, sucessfully complete 6 core and 7 elective units from the list below, of which:

This qualification can provide for specialisations. To achieve a specialisation, the following additional packaging rules must be adhered to:
Customer Engagement: 4 elective units must be selected from the below grouping.
Business Administration: 4 elective units must be selected from the below grouping.
Admission requirements
This course is designed for students with prior work or life experience in the business services industry. Experience may include touch-typing, use of Microsoft Office suite, maximising the use of ergonomic office equipment, routine maintenance and troubleshooting of office equipment, delivering customer service and responding to feedback.
During this course, you will be required to read comprehensive learner workbooks, undertake a range of written and practical assessments, undertake independent research, and engage in discussions.
Entry requires successful completion of year 10 level English. If you have not achieved this, you can demonstrate this knowledge by completing our pre-course Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment.
A good knowledge of computer basics is desirable.
